Artcoustic Installation of the Month August 2021

We are absolutely thrilled to have been awarded Artcoustic’s Installation of the Month award for August 2021!

Our home cinema takeover project in Nottingham landed us the award after we completely transformed an outdated, uncomfortable ‘cinema room’ into the perfect spot to relax or entertain. We even installed a hidden bar behind a paneled wall.

As always, we started with the planning and design phase. To show our client exactly what we could do with the space, we created a 3D render:

The room’s unusual shape lent itself perfectly for enclosing a small area and dedicating it to a bar. It also meant that we hid any distractions from fridges or reflections from glassware whilst watching movies.

The installation process

We began by providing simple room layouts to help construct the proper technical design. This ensured that we met industry standards. The technical design phase is the most important stage of our process as it enables us to plan the exact room spec in order to deliver a performance that corresponds with the room’s appearance.

Artcoustic speakers are installed in this Dolby Atmos 9.2.4 system along with Spitfire 6-3 speakers, 2 x SUB3 Subwoofers and SL Diablos surround speakers. We also designed custom seating that’s both beautiful and comfortable.

What’s more, fully customisable lighting and subtle panels of stars in the ceiling finish off the room perfectly.

The outcome: a seamless, immersive and dynamic audio experience.

Completion and handover

Artcoustic’s full calibration service ensured the system was commissioned and handed over for the client to enjoy at its very best.
