Overview

Trusted Technology designs and installs the smart home, cinema and entertainment systems behind some of the finest homes in the country. We work in the prime residential space, typically in £2m to £20m homes across the East Midlands. We are a CEDIA member working with Control4, Crestron and Lutron, and we run our own employed engineers rather than subcontracting our reputation out.

We are growing fast, and we have just opened Our Place, a 20,000 square foot experience centre unlike anything else in our industry. We are not the biggest. We intend to be the best.

The Role

Security is one of the three things we do for our clients, alongside smart home and entertainment, and it is a part of the business we are growing. We are looking for a dedicated Security Engineer to own the installation and commissioning of CCTV, intruder alarm and access control systems across our projects, and to integrate them properly into the wider smart home.

This is hands-on, site-based work in beautiful homes, to a finish standard that matches the technology going into them. You will work alongside our engineers and trades, and the systems you install will feed our ongoing monitoring and aftercare.

What you will do

  • Install and commission CCTV, intruder alarm and access control systems on site.

  • Integrate security into the wider smart home so it all works as one. We run Control4.

  • Work to the relevant security standards and accreditation requirements, such as SSAIB or NSI.

  • Take care of the surveillance and data-protection considerations that come with CCTV and access control.

  • Deliver a clean, reliable install to the standard our clients expect.

  • Support the aftercare and monitoring once systems are live.

Who you are

  • You have installed and commissioned CCTV, intruder and access control systems, ideally in residential or high-end settings.

  • You know your way around IP and networked security systems.

  • You understand the standards that security work has to meet.

  • You take pride in a tidy, professional install.

  • You are comfortable integrating security with smart home and networking, or keen to learn it.

  • Full UK driving licence. Relevant accreditation or qualifications are a strong plus.

What we offer

  • A competitive salary, reviewed as you grow with us.

  • Company vehicle and the kit to do the job properly.

  • The chance to help build and own a growing part of the business.

  • The best demonstration environment in the industry to work from.

  • A team of employed professionals who take pride in the work.

  • Real progression as we keep growing.
