Overview

Trusted Technology designs and installs the smart home, cinema and entertainment systems behind some of the finest homes in the country. We work in the prime residential space, typically in £2m to £20m homes across the East Midlands. We are a CEDIA member working with Control4, Crestron and Lutron, and we run our own employed engineers rather than subcontracting our reputation out.

We are growing fast, and we have just opened Our Place, a 20,000 square foot experience centre unlike anything else in our industry. We are not the biggest. We intend to be the best.

The Role

As we grow, our installation team grows with us, and we need someone to lead it on the ground. This is the person who runs our projects on site day to day, making sure the engineers always have what they need, the work is sequenced properly, the standards are held and nothing stalls.

It is a hands-on, site-based role. You will spend your days on our projects, with the team, not behind a desk. If you are looking for a job you run from an office buried in spreadsheets, this is not it. If you want to lead good people, run great jobs and take real ownership of how they are delivered, keep reading.

You will report to our Operations Director and work closely with our Senior Engineer. You own the team, the programme, delivery and the standards we hold on site. The technical and certification side, whether a system is engineered correctly and signed off, sits with the Senior Engineer. Clean lines, no treading on toes.

What you will do

  • Lead our engineers, trades, apprentices and subcontractors on site, every day.

  • Run point on projects for the team: sequence the work, clear the blockers, protect zero downtime.

  • Own site standards, health and safety, and the quality of finish we are known for.

  • Sign completed project work off with the client at handover, putting your name to the standard.

  • Manage subcontractor scheduling, quality and conduct on site.

  • Liaise on site with clients, interior designers and main contractors on programme and delivery.

  • Be the link between the field and the office, feeding issues back so they get solved quickly.

Who you are

  • You have led tradespeople or engineers on site, and they have respected you for it.

  • You understand programme, sequencing and what it takes to keep a job moving.

  • You can hold your ground with builders, architects and other trades.

  • You are organised, calm under pressure and allergic to a job running late for avoidable reasons.

  • You care about finish and standards as much as we do.

  • A background in custom install, AV, electrical or high-end residential construction is ideal, though we care more about how you lead and deliver than your exact route in.

  • Full UK driving licence. CSCS, SMSTS or SSSTS are a plus.

What we offer

  • A competitive salary, reviewed as you grow with us.

  • Company vehicle and the kit to do the job properly.

  • A genuine seat in an ambitious business at the moment it scales.

  • The best demonstration environment in the industry to work from.

  • A team of employed professionals who take pride in the work, not a revolving door of subbies.

  • Real progression: as we keep growing, this role grows with us.
