You will be responsible for carrying out electrical installations, testing, inspection and fault finding across a variety of high-end residential and commercial projects throughout the East Midlands.

Working closely with our smart home engineers and project management team, you will ensure all electrical work is completed safely, efficiently and to the highest possible standard.

Over time, the successful candidate will be supported in developing towards the role of NICEIC Qualified Supervisor, becoming responsible for overseeing electrical compliance and maintaining the company's Approved Contractor status.

Key Responsibilities

• Installation, maintenance and modification of electrical systems in high-end residential and commercial properties.

• Inspection, testing and certification of electrical installations.

• Fault finding and rectification work.

• Working alongside smart home engineers to integrate lighting control, automation, AV and security systems.

• Ensuring all works comply with current wiring regulations and industry best practice.

• Completing electrical documentation and certification accurately.

• Supporting quality assurance processes and site inspections.

• Assisting with the development and maintenance of NICEIC compliance procedures.

• Acting as a technical point of reference for electrical matters within the business.

 

Qualifications & Experience Required (Essential)

• NVQ Level 3 in Electrical Installation (or equivalent).

• City & Guilds 2382-22 (18th Edition Wiring Regulations).

• City & Guilds 2391-52 (Inspection & Testing) or equivalent.

• Full UK Driving Licence.

• Minimum 5 years' experience working as a qualified electrician.

• Experience carrying out inspection, testing and certification of electrical installations.

• Strong understanding of BS 7671 and electrical compliance requirements.

• Excellent attention to detail and high standards of workmanship.

• Professional and presentable manner when working in occupied, high-value properties.

 

Desirable

• Previous experience working in luxury residential properties.

• Experience supervising electrical works or managing small teams.

• Knowledge of lighting control systems such as Lutron.

• Experience with EV charging, surge protection, AFDDs and modern residential electrical systems.

• Previous experience working under NICEIC, NAPIT or other Competent Person Schemes.

 

Future NICEIC Qualified Supervisor Pathway

The ideal candidate will either already meet, or be capable of meeting, the requirements to become a NICEIC Qualified Supervisor, including:

• Demonstrable technical competence in electrical installation work.

• Inspection, testing and certification experience.

• Thorough understanding of BS 7671.

• Ability to supervise electrical works and maintain quality standards.

• Strong knowledge of electrical compliance and safety procedures.
